Bee keeping in Tantala

Hope you and the entire KTCT team are faring well. This is just to update you on the progress of work regarding the bee-keeping project.
Each beneficiary woman farmer is expected to get 2 Kenyan Top Bee hives for installations. Bee-hives are not ready made in the market. To meet this requirement, a skill person-local carpenter was contracted to make all bee-hives for the women farmers. Red Hardwood boards were procured to be converted into bee-hives with the required standards of measurements under the supervision of bee-keeping expert. They are currently being assembled in the community. The hives are almost 80% completed and would be distributed soon to the beneficiaries.  see some pictures of the hives being made in the attachment.
The training and installation of the bee-hives is expected to take place in November.
