Birth attendants trained in Ghana

From ATBAWA - Akpafu Traditional Birth Attendants Women’s Association

“The main goal for this grant was to select practicing but untrained traditional birth attendants to be trained in prenatal, delivery and postnatal care. The project benefits 20 practicing but untrained traditional birth attendants from 10 villages of Hohoe municipality, Ghana.

Akpafu organization is happy to say that implementation of activities took place very well with selection and training of 20 Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) in pre and post natal care as well as sexual reproductive health. This activity was done on Schedule –from 17th- 22nd March, 2013.”
