The Gunjur Project Association was Established in 2006 and supports and contributes towards development in The Gambia through striving to introduce locally sustainable projects in education, health, environment, and supporting community-led initiatives. The charity has recently developed a community hub offering a range of services including a library, training room, IT suite, community kitchen & multipurpose rooms. The Mlambe Project

We are so very grateful to KTCT for their wonderful grant to support our work in Malawi. The Mlambe Project is a small charity made up entirely of volunteers, mostly young people, who work in an impoverished rural community called Mlambe. The grant will enable us to transform Mlambe School and the educational opportunities for children who deserve a better start in life. Currently over half the pupils are taught outdoors, in very basic conditions, and the few facilities that do exist are terribly overcrowded with up to 90 children in a class. REPORT FROM CHEMOLINGOT SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

We continue to thank you and KTCT for the kind assistance. We programmed activities into phases. The first phase is to make beds and construction of toilet. We have made ten double beds 2(10) which accommodate 20 deaf pupils The other five ( 5) double beds are on progress. We have dug the toilet for 30fts. the ground surface was very rocky and that made the digging to slow, but now construction of the toilet is going on well. A photograph of the ready beds:
