Missing Link (Uganda) – Latrine Project

Letter of thanks from Missing Link:

It is such a remarkable achievement for the school administration and parents of Abu Baker Nursery and Primary school to receive a five-stance, disabled-friendly, VIP (Ventilation Improved Pit) latrine, with separate facilities for boys and girls, boys urinals, and handwashing facilities donation from KTCT. Apart from not being enough, the existing pit latrine was unhygienic and a security threat to the pupils in the school.  (See photo of school pit latrine before KTCT support)

The disabled access toilet, the first of its kind in the Sub-county will increase the enrollment of pupils, including disabled persons, and improve hygiene and sanitation in the school, thus reducing the very high rates of disease outbreaks caused by poor sanitation, hence improving the lives of teachers and pupils.

Thank you very much for giving hope to the lives of the poor!
