Solar-powered borehole project – Thanks from Kenya

Many thanks and much appreciation to supporters of Kitchen Table Charities Trust for donating a wonderful gift of £6200 to Light The Poor Group in Kenya to install a solar-powered borehole in an under-served and water-stressed school for underprivileged children with no access to safe water. We are filled with joy and happiness to you for enabling us to implement this project.  It means a lot to us, and even more to the beneficiary school since it goes a long way in reducing the high prevalence of waterborne diseases among 725 poor learners at the school.  It will also boost the learners’ class attendance, well-being, growth and development, educational opportunities and academic performance by enabling them to invest the huge amount of time they used to spend collecting water in learning and co-curricular activities. It will also enable the beneficiary school to increase its capacity in terms of the number of registered pupils and improve the essential care and welfare services given to poor children.
