Water and sanitation project at St. Annes Bumala Education Centre. Thanks from Kenya

The Board of Management of Bumala Vision Community Based Organization and the entire community of Bumala are very grateful for the donation of GBP 6,000 for the Water and sanitation project at St. Annes Bumala Education Centre.

We hereby confirm to you that we have received the funds from your Charity through Olive Bearers (UK) and the first phase of the project has begun in earnest.

This project will go a long way to change lives in this community by solving sanitation and water challenges that we have had in the institution and community by providing additional pit latrines, a facility for the disabled that we never had, a girl’s hygiene unit/room, handwashing points, a septic tank, and a submersible water pump that will push water to a tank on a tower to allow the school and the community access safe drinking water through a tap without using much energy and time to pump water using a hand pump as before.

We are committed to keeping you posted about the progress of this project in the most convenient way for you and as you advise.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in this worthwhile life-changing course.

On behalf of the Bumala community and St. Annes school.
