Thanks for EduSpots – Ghana

EduSpots, a small charity catalysing quality learning opportunities across rural Ghana through a network of local volunteers, is absolutely thrilled with the support from KTCT to improve the conditions of our community-owned and led library education centres called ‘Spots’. Spots enable underserved children to access books, resources, lessons, clubs, and homework support to raise educational aspirations. An update from Ashanti Development, Ghana

Ashanti Development was established in 2005 when London-based Ghanaians asked their friends and neighbours to raise funds to help improve the quality of life of people in their home villages, Since then they have provided clean water and sanitation for 16,000 people, built schools and clinics, established a hardship fund for disabled adults, and helped set up micro-credit schemes in 14 villages.  Ashanti Development requested funding to replace the leaking roof and supporting timbers of a primary school at Nkwanta, part of which was blown away in a storm. Thanks from Oyugis Integrated Development Organization (Kenya) for a Grant to Purchase Carpentry Machines

Thank you supporters of Kitchen Table Charities Trust! Your generous donations made it possible for us to get a very necessary a grant for the purchasing of new carpentry machines for our project at this time of depressed global economy caused by Covid -19.  For years, it has been futile to source funds to equip this workshop! Our organisation looks around for victims of discrimination in its area and studies what sort of vocations and skills can be most utilized in the local economy. The newly bought machines are intended for practical-oriented courses in the carpentry workshops that will allow trainees to make assignments and deliver woodwork crafts that can be sold to generate the income necessary to fund their course materials. The training centre will now have sufficient qualitative training resources to teach more participants for improved access to employment opportunities, community…

Thanks from Equal Aqua (Uganda)

Equal Aqua is hugely grateful for the valuable support from KTCT. This will directly result in the construction and community training program for three primary schools in rural Uganda. Too often it is the young girls who have to walk for miles to find any source of water. The schools frequently have no reliable water tank. Our tanks have consistently shown to be a life-saver for these children by providing a continuous clean water supply. What's more, their educational…
