Thank you so much for your generous donation to Chance to Grow. We are a small charity that is run by a committed team of volunteers, and it is only thanks to individuals and organisations like yourselves that we are able to be there for disadvantaged young people in Kitale, Kenya. Your donation will enable us to begin a poultry farming project at Great Mercy School , with 500 chickens. The school provides quality education to over 300 children that would otherwise have no access to it, and the income generated by this poultry project will go a long way…

We have dug the toilet for 30fts. the ground surface was very rocky and that made the digging to slow, but now construction of the toilet is going on well. A photograph of the ready beds:

Report on the progress of the borehole from Project Share

Report on the progress of the borehole from Project Share  The borehole project at Project Share in Gushegu, Northern Ghana is progressing well. We sank the borehole in mid- May, at the end an uncommonly long dry season. This was really the best time of year to do this, as it means the borehole is definitely deep enough to provide water all year round. The borehole was then mechanised using a submersible pump, and the site fenced for security. The borehole was sunk just a few metres off our land close to our staff quarters (with the land owners permission),…

From LUNCH4LEARNING

LUNCH4LEARNING (UGANDA) Project: To build 5 new water tanks each with a 10,000 litre capacity for schools to harvest rainwater. In an environment where children have travelled long distances on foot to get to schools, having access to drinking water will improve sanitation through regular hand washing and also make water available for cooking the lunchtime meals. In at least one of the schools that will be targeted for this project, the nearest water source is 2 kms away and that has proved a deterrent to attending school. We are confident that having water on site will also have a…
